Do you ever find yourself listening to a song, but can't for the life of you figure out what the vocalist is singing? LyricFind to the rescue— you can input artist names, song titles, or a snippet of the lyrics themselves to see what pops up. Though it had listings for 80% of the artists I searched for, LyricFind are constantly working with publishers to license and pay the royalties to add more and more tracks and artists daily.

Several thoughts come to mind while using this app: it's so wonderfully easy to use; the design is so well done; I can't believe this is free!
But yes, Dictionary.com's dictionary/thesaurus combination is just as wonderful as the website— and more, because you can carry the dictionary and thesaurus around with you wherever you go, no web connection necessary (though Word of the Day (a very nifty feature for those of us looking to expand our vocabularies), sound word pronunciations, and similarly spelled words require an internet connection)!

Wapedia by Taptu Limited

In contrast to some of the other Wikipedia applications I've downloaded in the past, none are quite like Wapedia in terms of loading speed, searches, and overall look. Wapedia has done what seemed to be the impossible in other apps: they have taken the same elements we've come to know and love of online Wiki articles, and scaled them to fit the iPhone or iPod Touch.
