Couch to 5k by Felt Tip Inc.
To say I'm not the fittest person in the world is an overwhelming understatement. So when I saw the title for this training app, I was (to say the least) a bit excited. Couch to 5k? I
thought in wonder, imagining myself running marathons and looking like some sort of Amazonian Goddess. Could it really be true? I downloaded it immediately.

Yoga RELAX by Neil Harris

Who hasn't had a stressful day at work or school? This app is great for relaxing and either winding up at the start of or winding down at the end of your day. It's great for yoga-doers of all levels; beginners rejoice with detailed audio instructions, with metal and physical benefits of each position. The instructions can be turned off for the more experienced, and you can shut off all commentary entirely, if you wish. There are three different calming optional background tracks to choose from.

Namaste is the word that I'm greeted with as I open up the app after the latest update. Welcome, indeed, I agree, as I see how many new courses have been added— bringing this already excellent app up to a staggering total of over 80 poses.

AmbiScience Brain Power (1.3) by Tesla Software
This is another brain entrainment application, labeled as a Brain Power Mind Aid.
On the app store and their website they claim that their technology is based on the work of J. C. R. Licklider who did research on psychoacoustics at MIT in the late 1950’s.

(He’s more famous as one of the main drivers of the concept of massively networked computers and head of ARPA — which begat the internets)

SleepStream – Advanced Sleep Inducer and Energizer
Explosive Apps is a Norwegian company and they’ve done a good job on SleepStream. no glitches and works as claimed.
I’ve been using binaural beat technology for close to 40 years, so I know it’s effective and I know what works for me and what doesn’t. One of the early pioneers in this area (in the fifties) was Robert Monroe and the Monroe Institute from Virginia. They set the standard, IMHO.
