Lifestyle Review: myStarbucks
myStarbucks by Starbucks Coffee Company

I'll be the first to admit that, when it comes to a great cup of coffee, Starbucks just isn't all that high up on my list to reach for. When there are so many different independent cafes to choose from, settling for something not-as-great just because it's famous doesn't cut it for me. Even if there is a Starbucks on practically every street corner in Vancouver.
That said, I can say that Starbucks has an excellent sense of style— from the decor of their locations, to the sleeves wrapped around their paper cups, everything (for a lack of a better way to describe it) fits. The same can be said for their two official apps. I don't have a Starbucks card, though, so I won't be reviewing that one.
I do, however, order drinks. That's just one of the features in the myStarbucks app: A fully customizable drink builder. Choose from a hot or cold beverage and explore exactly just how many different options you have to make your favorite drink either exactly how you already know want it, or keep fine-tuning all those little things until it's perfect. A picture is drawn on the screen depicting your drink, from that caramel drizzle on your macchiato, or a latte without all the foam. When you tap on the cup, you'll zoom in on the squares on the side. You can show this to the barista if you're in a hurry.
You can also find stores close to you, as long as you've got a Wi-Fi connection. Explore the many different varieties of coffee available. Check out the many foods that may be provided in your local stores.
A very elegant, well-designed app that's dependable and easy to use. I just might have to check out my local Starbucks to test out that drink builder (I wonder if the barista will roll their eyes at all the customizations I've made)! If you like coffee, give this app a go. Both official apps are free! 4/5
