News Review: CNN Mobile
CNN Mobile by CNN Interactive Group, Inc.

At long last, CNN has put out their official news reader. With sections for top headline stories and all story categories like on their website, 'My CNN' which provides news pertaining your current location (US only; it will still work if you're close enough to the border, but will give you information about whichever US city is closest to you; for me, it's Bellingham), for video reports on certain headline stories and different categories for that, and iReport in which you can read and submit your own reports and opinions on current events.
In the headlines section, you can browse through the current top stories overall, or through genre-specific categories, like World news, US news, Politics (US biased), Crime (US biased), Entertainment (US biased), Health (mainly US biased), Travel, Technology (US biased) and Living (US biased). The articles are displayed neatly and are each optimized for the iPhone. I wasn't a fan of the white text/black background color scheme, as it was difficult for me to read for long periods of time, though.

The video section is much the same as headlines, with all the different categories, though with a 'Most Viewed' and 'On TV' section. Some articles from the headlines section have videos that link to the video section.
Overall, this is an effective and easy way to keep up with the world while you're on the go. It's available for only $1.99, though there is still advertising, on the start-up page, in between paragraph breaks in articles, and before every video. 4/5
