Stone Loops! of Jurassica is a arcade like puzzler, with some exciting twists. Set in a prehistoric world you take part in an (almost) never ending action adventure as you strive to upgrade your house, collect trophies and of course achieve a masterful score along the way. The game is simply massive, with a whopping 75 levels for the classic game mode, as well as 75 for the grab 'n shoot mode and this is a very worth while investment.

The gameplay is what really hooked me, the game mechanic is simple, while each level is a little more challenging than the last. To play, you are given a boulder throwing device that you can move from left to right, to fire them at other boulders (destroying them and giving you points, combos, or even chain reactions). Simply launch your rock at another 2 or more rocks of the same color to blast 'em!

Each set of rocks are being pushed along a winding (changes every level) path. At the end of the road is a dinosaur skull that has its mouth open, if any of the rocks make it into the mouth the rest will quickly follow and it's game over man, game over. Once you destroy a chain of boulders, or if you take too long, another chain will also show up! This can be quite vexing especially if you are close to the end of the road, and have no where else to go.

There are also several power-ups you can acquire throughout each level, for example there's a Meteor power-up that will annihilate most of the boulders on the screen. Another good example of a cool power-up is Fireball, it will destroy a bunch of stones and has a large circular hit box. Yet another cool one, I just have to tell you about is the Reverse power-up, which will send all them pesky rocks back a bit down the path.

The classic game mode is pretty straight forward, simply line stuff up correctly and you should be able to succeed fairly well. Grab 'n Shoot is a little bit more complicated as you are no longer given stones, you must take them from the path to create combos and chains. While this game mode is a little bit less challenging, in my opinion it's a nice break from classic if your getting frustrated.

The game also offers some cool trophies to acquire, for example there is a Gem Catcher trophy you win for catching a set amount of gems. You can get a bunch of different houses for each different stage you beat (acquiring upgrades as you progress) in the forest stage (the first 15 levels of the game) you have a tree top dwelling not that much unlike an Ewock village form Star Wars. There's no doubt that the game looks great, the sounds and prehistorical music really add a lot to this already impressive title.

The good: Great graphics, music, sound effects, tons of power-ups, houses (5 in all) to acquire, and more trophies than you can shake a stick at!

The bad: Uhmm, addictiveness?

The breakdown: Great game at a great price, ($0.99) get it while it's on sale! You won't be disappointed! 5/5
