Game Review: Kids Vs. Zombies
Kids Vs. Zombies by Monkey Wrench Games LLC.
This game is about exactly what it sounds like. You play a bunch of kids attempting to hold off a horde of zombies! To defend their fort and stay alive, you must use each kid's unique abilities.
Dexter is a demolitions expert, while Marcus excels at close-range combat, and Scarlet is a long range sniper. After each successful level, you will be awarded some cash to repair your fort or spend on other upgrades. Each level begins at dusk, and you must survive until dawn to make it through the level.
The game offers over 45 levels of zombie blasting mayhem, as well as 10 different zombie types, and boss fights. You also get 3D game play – simply tilt your device to get a better view (I've found 90° to be the best to see everything in the play area). There's a store containing 12 unique items to upgrade, 4 difficulty levels (including a "Nightmare" difficulty setting that certainly lives up to it's name), as well as auto-saves for easy continuation of the game on-the-go.
The good: Free for a limited time! Great looking graphics, and awesome sound effects. Computer-played AI for the other kids was very effective as well.
The bad: No music.
The breakdown: Get this game while it's free— the price is definitely right! 4.5/5
