Brain Tester Free by Digital Chocolate

perception1
Test your smarts with this set of four (out of twenty-four in the full version) exercises for different aspects of the brain; perception, memory, spatial and logic. I honestly don't know how the ranking system for this game works, because it's really hard to get a high score, even when you only get two or three questions wrong. Don't understand it, don't really want to, and man am I ever glad that Digital Chocolate has free versions for each of their games, because purchasing the full version would have been a waste of money.

I'm disappointed with this game, to be honest. It's not nearly up to par with the developer's standards, and it makes me wonder now when the game was released (if it was early in their career, like I suspect, I'll forgive them). The exercises themselves are entertaining, though, so don't just take my complaints about the rankings to heart.

For perception, you are given a list of colors. If the word and the color match up (for example, the word 'Orange' written in black would be wrong, while the word 'Blue' written in blue is correct), you hit the thumbs up button, and if the word and the color do not match up, you hit the thumbs down button. Don't get confused and go as quickly as you can, or else you won't receive a very high score at all.
spacial
For memory, a singing frog will appear on the screen, facing either left or right. Hit the frog icon facing in either direction, and follow the pattern for as long as you can. I had some difficulties with the controls for this one, the icons weren't always responsive.

For spatial, there is a bush in the middle of the screen with a red line through it. A ladybug will fly under this bush. When you believe the ladybug is close or beneath the the red line, hit the fist icon at the bottom of the screen to catch the ladybug. Catch as many ladybugs as you can before time runs out.

For logic, you play a mouse who can only eat one full circle of cheese. Using the left and right arrows, your mouse will eat its way down the pyramid of cheese pieces. If you make one full wheel of cheese, you move on to the next level. Eat as many full cheese circles as you can before time runs out.

The music gets on my nerves, and so do the sound effects. They can easily be turned off at any time, though.
