Baby Names by DMBC

Ideal for expectant parents, writers, and anybody who wants to know just what their name is supposed to mean, or where it originated from. This app boasts over 25000 names and meanings. You can search by letter, by boy's names, by girl's names, by unisex names, by meaning, or by origin. There is a long list of origins; a lot of repeats and misspelled languages and countries. I'm really not sure why some words are in quotation marks.

The app used to be $0.99 but has been free for the past few weeks. While the app is useful, I much prefer sites I can find online (for one, many more options), and I certainly wouldn't pay money to use it.

To use, simply type in a keyword (a letter you wish the names to begin with, or your own name), or a certain meaning you're after (like 'brave' or 'beautiful'), or an origin you're after (from languages to countries to movies, there are lots of options to choose from), and whether or not you're after girl's names, boy's names, or unisex names.

Since I downloaded it, I've used the app a grand total of twice. Once to see if it was worth a download, and then again today, when I decided to review it. Graphically, this app is nothing to write home about, and it crashes more often than it works. If I were you, I wouldn't waste my time. 1/5
