The Ace of Spades errr Space

In this sci-fi follow up to Dragon's Lair, you play Ace; a heroic space man. Your mission is to stop the evil commander Blorf and rescue the girl Kimberly. Armed with only a laser pistol and your wits, you have the task of defeating Blorf and saving the world from his diabolical plans! Blorf plans to take over the earth with a weapon called the Infanto ray which regresses everyone hit by it back to children!

To guide Ace through each mission you are given a directional pad, (on the right side of the screen) as well as a energize button (on the left). Simply touch the correct direction, or energize at the right time to have Ace narrowly avoid certain doom! This game is all about fast reflexes, so you really do need to pay attention!

On the main menu you can see a trailer for the game as well as check out your high scores, settings, instructions, and of course play the game.

The game looks and plays great! The sound effects and music are very well done, and the animations are a lot of fun to watch. In the settings menu you may set vibration on or off, move beeps, infinite lives, lefty controls, or make the controls small or large.

The good: Great graphics, story line, music and sounds! This game is quite nostalgic and brings up a lot of great memories for me. The game play is exactly the same as it was in the original release.

The bad: Some long load times when you die, and a commander Blorf animation plays.

The breakdown: This game is great! I loved Dragon's Lair when I was a kid and I love this too! Game play is awesome, graphics look great, all the sounds and music are very well done. In my honest opinion this one is definitely worth the $4.99 I spent on it. 4.5/5
