Productivity Review: TASKit
TASKit by AppsCode

This To-Do app boasts a 'simple as paper and pencil' interface. After giving it a go for the past few days, I've found that I can almost agree with them a hundred percent. Almost, but I'm not completely sold yet.
My biggest quibble with the app is that it's a bit difficult to check (or cross, if that's more effective for you) things off— when you tap the task, it brings up a new window with the task on it and the options to say 'yes, I've done that', 'no, I haven't gotten to it yet', and calendar view — which I can understand, if the task in question has lots of detail, instead of a simple 'remember to bring the trash bins in'. Still, since most of my tasks are simple enough, this extra step feels unnecessary. Perhaps as time goes on and I start to take on more responsibilities, my opinion will change.
That said, this app is very solid. It holds true to its promise of being simple as paper and pencil (literally; it looks like a pad of paper), and will eventually be fully customizable (that's another thing I didn't like; why include the option of changing skins without more skins to change to? I know that they'll be adding more skins in their next update, but it still irks me).
For now, you can change what font you use (default is Marker Felt, which adds to the overall 'pencil/paper' feel), eventually will be able to choose different skins, and you can either check or cross off your tasks as you complete them.
Tasks that you haven't completed will be carried over to the next day (and will continue to do so until they've been completed). If you need a task done by a specific date, you can schedule it in the calendar view. You can also reorganize your tasks afterwards, in whichever way makes most sense to you (I like to organize from easiest/will take the least amount of time to hardest/take the most amount of time). Completed tasks will be logged for future reference. Tasks you haven't completed will be shown in a badge on the app's icon.
I look forward to the future updates. Grab this one quick, it's available for free for a limited time! 4/5
