Duel Wield

The Quest is a 3D first-person RPG that takes place in a mythical kingdom. This game is hybrid of other titles… Think the Elder Scrolls Oblivion meets Final Fantasy 7, in that you can use any armor, enchants, learn magic, or use any equipment like Oblivion, while still being turn-based like Final Fantasy.

This game offers 5 distinctive races to choose from with various abilities and strengths, as well as 6 pre-generated "classes." But you can make up your own by choosing what primary skills and secondary skills you want. Like dual-wield and repair, for example.

After you select your race and class (or set it up), you begin your adventure. This game is totally open-ended, with a non-linear story line. This version offers the first town of the full version. You get a few magic items, books, among others.

The good: Free. Constantly re-rendered landscapes.

The bad: I think this game is totally hit or miss. For me it was a big miss. Don't get me wrong I like these kinds of games, I just couldn't get into this one.

The breakdown: This game just didn't do it for me. 2/5
