Doodle Jump by Lima Sky

I'll confess right off the bat before I get started on this whole thing: I am embarrassingly dreadful at this game. All the same, the graphics are adorable (I want to pick up that little alien and keep it in my pocket!), and like the title implies, are reminiscent of notepad doodles.

The alien jumps automatically; tilt your device left and right to bounce off the platforms. Hit a spring and be propelled several levels. Hit a succession of springs, and go higher and higher. Broken platforms break beneath you. Monsters will eat you and UFOs will abduct you unless you shoot them (to shoot, tap the screen once). Black holes will suck you up if you jump too close.

Though I suck, I really do like this game, and will be trying to improve my scores. Everything takes practice, right? 4/5 Grab it from the app store for $0.99.
