Game Review: Candy

Candy by Slash Casual

About a month ago, I reviewed the lite version of this game, which offered up the first five levels. As the levels progress, it grows increasingly more difficult. I've been stuck on level 34 for weeks! I can't for the life of me figure out how to get past it. Anyone got any ideas? Drop me a line!

Candy is ridiculously addicting. As you make your way through each level (some are easier than others, perhaps giving you a false sense of security), you gain confidence in your abilites… until you come across something that seems impossible! Remember: everything is possible, even those tough levels! The graphics are well-designed, and, for a lack of a better word, sweet. You get 80 levels in the full version, and two bonus game modes to unlock.

The only thing I don't like about the game is how the little 'help' menu pops up after three unsuccessful matches. I understand that it could be helpful for someone who has just happened to pick up someone else's device in the middle of a game and has no idea what they're doing— but after 34 levels, it starts to feel patronizing.

As with any app, be sure to restart your device after installation to avoid crashing.

Available for $1.99 in the App store. A well-deserved 5/5. Well done, Slash Casual. I hope you come out with a new game soon.
