Who Has the Biggest Brain? by Playfish

First played online, it connected to the incredibly popular Facebook, and is now available for the iPhone and iPod Touch. For $1.99 you can do one of three things: prove you've got the same sized brain as an earthworm (300cm3), prove you're actually an alien (2500cm3+ and might I just say the alien characters are adorable? My goodness), or that you're just like everybody else (1500cm3). And then you can challenge your friends and decide once and for all: Who has the biggest brain?

The game itself doesn't offer any how-to guides, or explain itself much. I didn't actually figure out what this game was about until I visited the Playfish website and their FAQ.

Timed for one minute each, there are 12 different minigames to test different parts of your brain. You can view (and play around with them to practice) each of these games in practice mode. The actual game is only 4 random games, so each time you try is different. There are 27 brain types, a trophy case of achievements, and a calendar to track your progress.

Never before has a (well-meaning, done entirely in jest, and not in the slightest way meant to be taken seriously) game made me feel like such an idiot. It boggles the mind how a series of four tests so simple and straightforward can utterly destroy one's ego. Which isn't to say I didn't enjoy the game; I'm just saying I'm an incredibly sore loser. Available for $1.99 for a limited time. 4/5
