Game Review: Brain Thaw Lite
Brain Thaw Lite by Groovy Squared

The game is simple: Exercise your brain and your math skills and help Newton the penguin chow down on the numbers that match the math rule (eg. "Factors of 4") Tap once to go to a certain block; tap twice to eat. Watch your fingers carefully, though! Eating the wrong number will lose a life.
Similarly, keep an eye out for those beastly yetis, who want nothing better than to make a meal out of penguins like Newton! To avoid yetis, send Newton to the glowing orange square. If the yeti tries to eat Newton, they die.
There are occasional power-ups available in the game: three will multiply your score at the end of the level by 2, 3 or 4; one will give you an additional life; and a bomb will clear the board of the yetis and (temporarily) keep new ones from returning.
The graphics are polished and well designed, the characters are adorable, and the soundtrack isn't distracting and isn't likely to get on your nerves with prolonged gameplay.
An entertaining game that makes me feel like I'm not as bad at math as I originally thought, I'm giving Brain Thaw Lite a 4/5. Try the full version of the game, available in the App Store for $0.99.
