Frenzic by the Iconfactory and Artis software

Frenzic is described as a fast paced puzzle game and it lives up to that billing.

The game play is simple. There are 6 circles and you have to fit six pie pieces into each circle. Oh and there's a countdown clock that vibrates displeasure if you fail to place your piece in time. You also lose a life.

This is a challenging game. Pattern recognition and the ability to trust your subconscious mind to make the best decisions are paramount. You gain lives each time you complete a circle with one color.

The more successful you are, the faster the counter goes. It gets tough quick!

In the settings you can set volume, turn off music, effects and rumble. As well, you can set your login to update scores on the web bragging board.

This a sweet, simple game. I bought it originally for my 75 year old Mom; and then I got hooked on it.

I use it to tune up my brain if I get mushy headed during the day. It seems to help that way… a long as I stay relaxed and focused rather than tensing up.

A unique feature is that you are able to listen to your own music while you play the game.
I'm sure most will use this to listen to their favorite tunes.

I'm enjoying using this to learn new things (like from audio podcasts or ripped CD's) while I'm playing. It's a great way to reinforce information that I want to remember. There's also research that shows that training your brain in this manner increases your intelligence, improves thinking speed and keeps your brain young. All good!

I give this a very solid 4.5/5
4 out of 5
